Barry Doyle and Company

Barry Doyle and Company was established by Barry Doyle and Alan Doyle in June 2001. We are a solicitors’ practice based at 23 Merchants Quay, Dublin 8. Our practice is divided between a public law practice focusing on planning and environmental law, judicial review, criminal prosecution and injunctive enforcement; and a private client practice, providing conveyancing, litigation and probate services.

In the public law area we act for a number of regulatory bodies which exercise authorisation and enforcement functions. Most notably, we are the solicitors for the Environmental Protection Agency and An Bord Pleanala, and we provide planning and environmental enforcement services to Laois County Council and Offaly County Council. We have also provided legal services to public bodies in the communications and financial services sectors. The volume of litigation and advice handled in this area means our experience is as extensive as that of much larger firms.

Our private client business consists generally in providing conveyancing, litigation and probate services, and we are also willing to bring or defend planning or environmental actions where this does not conflict with the interests of our existing clients.
